Most publishing platforms give a writer somewhere to post. LoreNext gives them something closer to a door: a single pass that opens both the paid archive and the room where readers talk to each other.
LoreNext is a place to publish long-form writing and to build a readership you actually keep. A writer sets up a column, writes, and decides piece by piece whether it is open to everyone or reserved for members.
Membership takes the form of a Passcard — an ERC-1155 token the writer mints themselves, priced in USDC and settled on Base. That same Passcard does two jobs at once: it unlocks the writer's paid work, and it opens their club. Bought once, it covers reading and community both.
Read free work without connecting anything. The home feed, explore, columns, articles and search are all open. No wallet, no account, no interstitial.
Judge before you buy. Paid articles carry a free preview, and the writer sets how long it runs. You read the opening, then decide.
One purchase, not a recurring bill. A Passcard is bought, not subscribed to. It does not quietly renew, and it does not expire out from under you.
It stays yours. Passcards are transferable. If a writer stops being for you, list the pass on the market instead of writing it off.
Keep a shelf. Connect a wallet and you get a bookshelf, subscriptions, and one feed of everything the writers you follow have published.

Write in a real editor. Headings, formatting, images, a cover, tags, a byline, and a one-line description that follows the piece into cards and search results.
Free or paid, per article. Free work needs nothing but a column. Paid work binds to a Passcard, and publishing writes the entry on-chain.
Choose the preview. Free reading is measured in characters, so you decide exactly where the article stops for non-members.
Set your own price and supply. You mint the Passcard, you name the USDC price, you decide how many exist.
Get paid in USDC. Earnings, payment address and history live in one place, on Base.
Every Passcard comes with a room attached. Holders can read member discussions, reply to them, and start their own. Non-holders see that the club exists and what it costs to enter — nothing more.
It is deliberately small. A club is not a public comment section with a paywall bolted on; it is the group of people who paid to be in it.
Published entries are written on-chain, and the content itself goes to decentralized storage rather than sitting only in our database. Paid work is encrypted before it leaves the browser, so possession of the file is not the same as being able to read it — access follows the Passcard.
The practical version: if LoreNext disappeared tomorrow, the work would still be there, and the people who paid for it would still be able to open it.
Readers can start reading immediately — nothing to connect. To keep a shelf, follow writers or buy a Passcard, connect a wallet on Base and top up with USDC.
Writers should start at the Publish Center. It checks what is already set up, explains every on-chain step before it happens, and hands you the next action rather than a checklist to interpret.
